Member Associates

A natural first step for successful up-and-coming brokers with a minimum of one year's experience who aim to earn SIOR designation within the next six years.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one and maximum of eight years' documented active engagement in commercial real estate as a full-time active practitioner
  • Demonstrate 50% of the Gross Fee Income requirement in the last year
  • Endorsement from one SIOR Designee who can be from same firm or network
  • Adherence to the SIOR Code of Ethics
  • Obtain a Mentor, an SIOR Designee in the applicant's chapter

Designation

Achieve the highest level of success while adhering to rigorous standards. Requires a minimum of five years' industry experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years' documented active engagement in commercial real estate as a full-time active practitioner
  • Demonstrate Gross Fee Income for three out of the last four years
  • Endorsements from two SIOR Designees
  • Completion of SIOR coursework and adherence to the SIOR Code of Ethics

Stages of the Admissions Process

  1. Prepare and Submit Application

    Review your eligibility and GFI requirement (including signed GFI Affidavit). Member Associates also need to identify an active Designee to serve as a mentor.

  2. Review of Application

    Once you apply for membership, SIOR will kickoff the Chapter review and interview process. SIOR will also provide the Qualification Report & Endorsement form.

  3. Approval of Application

    The Chapter will do a final review of your application. SIOR's Chapter Leadership Council votes monthly to approve applications.

Membership Fees

Application Fee: $175

Online Ethics Course: $150

Annual Dues: $450 (first year prorated)

SIOR Chapter Membership and Dues: Chapter Membership is required and contingent upon approval of membership in SIOR. Active Individual, Member Associates, and Associate Members within a Chapter's jurisdiction must fulfill applicable Chapter dues. Please contact the local Chapter for dues requirements.

Initiation Fee: $725 (one-time)

Annual Dues: $1,345 (first year prorated) U.S. and Canada / $675 Mexico (first year prorated)

National Association of REALTORS Dues: Members located in the United States must be a member in good standing of the National Association of REALTORS (NAR). Members can elect to pay $105 NAR Institute Affiliate Dues through SIOR or through a REALTOR Association. Please contact membership@sior.com for more information.
